Train Connectivity

TMC is just 10 minutes walking distance from Karjat railway station based on a proposed 100 mtrs. bridge across the river Ulhas being constructed by the developer. Permission for the bridge have been acquired and the completion of the bridge to be expected by 2011. Karjat is strategically based at the junction of harbour and the central rly.lines coming from from Panvel and Thane, respectively.

Additionally, the Government has recently announced their intention to develop the Virar-Murbad-Karjat-Khopoli Ring Road as a Mumbai by-pass as an alternative, to avoid traffic on the increasingly urbanized Ghodbunder Road. Once the suburban railway line gets operational on the Panvel-Karjat line, the distance between Karjat to Mumbai CST is expected to be only 1.30 hours as against the existing 2.30 hours.  This will transform Karjat into a buzzing suburb in a very short period.
